About the Friends of St Peterís Church, Meavy
ďThe aim of the Friends is to support the PCC in maintaining the fabric and furnishings of St Peter's ChurchĒ
The aim of the Friends of St. Peterís, Meavy, is to promote wide interest in the care and preservation of the church, its history and its work, to provide a focus of support for it and to support the Parochial Church Council (PCC) in maintaining the fabric and furnishings of the building.
Many people, apart from its regular congregation, have an attachment to St. Peterís Church. Some can attend services only occasionally; others were baptised or married here; others are visitors or local residents who simply have an affection for the church which has been here for hundreds of years.
Please join us and help to ensure that future generations can continue to use and enjoy this lovely church.
Because we are a charity we qualify for Gift Aid. A scheme where we can claim back the tax on your contribution. It is worth 28p in the pound to us so please complete the Gift Aid declaration when joining the Friends.
