The first photo is Joice underneath her Handkerchief Tree, which Joice
says took 20 years to flower! The second one is the Handkerchief Tree.

The next photo is Joice in her greenhouse with some of the many
Succulents and Cacti that she grows.  Joice and her late husband used
to run a nursery, specializing in cacti and succulents and she has a wealth
of knowledge about these plants.

The 4th photo is some of the Succulents and Cacti.

significant because of the centenary of the 1st WW and Meavy Garden
Society has an extra category for our Summer show, which is a
container of poppies.  It looks as if Stephen has a made a good
start!

November Glory

Moor from Kay Moore’s Garden

The weather for this Autumn has been glorious. It has been officially the warmest Halloween since records began. Today, on the 1st November, I went into the garden to do some tidying up and was amazed by the number of plants still in flower and the amount of colour still in the garden. There are Cosmos, Dwarf Morning Glory, Feverfew, Oxeye Daisies, Hebe, and a Wall Flower in blossom. There were so many lovely flowers that I have taken a few photos for you to enjoy. Perhaps, you can take some photos of your own garden during this month and add them to the page for other members to enjoy and compare!
